Hi, I’m Chidela — the hands and heart behind LJ Cozy Stitches.
LJ Cozy Stitches is more than a handmade brand—it’s a story of creativity, growth, and falling in love with crochet all over again. Every piece I make is thoughtfully crafted with care, patience, and a whole lot of heart.

 

How It All Started. My first experience with crochet began back in high school, when my mom taught me the basics. I learned a few stitches, but at the time, it didn’t turn into much more than a short creative phase. Years later, everything changed. When I was pregnant with my son, Lucas, I picked up a crochet hook again and started working on a baby blanket for him. Stitch by stitch, I found myself reconnecting with crochet in a completely different way.

 

What started as a simple blanket quickly turned into experimenting with plushies—and from there, it just kept growing. Crochet became my creative outlet, my calm space, and something I truly looked forward to. In April 2025, I decided to take a leap and join my very first craft market. I remember doubting myself, wondering if anyone would actually want to buy something I made with my own hands. But after that first market, everything changed. I fell in love—with the community, the support, and the joy of seeing people connect with my work. From that moment on, my passion only grew.

 

The Evolution to LJ Cozy Stitches -- What began as Crochet with Chidz slowly evolved as my style, confidence, and vision became clearer. I found myself drawn to cozy textures, soft colors, and plushies full of personality—pieces that bring comfort and a little happiness into everyday life. That evolution led to LJ Cozy Stitches, a brand that truly reflects my love for handmade quality and cozy, comforting designs. What I Create.
